Taking an old page out of the Linux book, Microsoft is developing Windows 8 in such a way that you’ll be able to run it from a thumb drive.
This according to those who have been tinkering around with that leaked alpha from last week.

Oh my god, that task manager looks INCREDIBLY gay.

Yeah it looks nice and everything, but there's hardly any functionality.. Far too much wasted space. And why isn't there even a processes tab? That's EASILY the most useful one..

I have to agree, a Taskmanager is supposed to be a useful tool and not to be a nice addition to the overall theme.

There is a button in the top left corner. It has the same look to change the view in a folder, as it is in windows 7. Maybe you can change the look to "details" revealing extra information.

Could very well be.. However that (probably) still doesn't give you a Processes tab D:

Guys, about the task manager, the version that comes in the version leaked is BROKEN.

On newer builds it looks like this:

Why would MS even THINK of removing technical features from Windows :S? Is this going mac-style now D:?

Sadly, I'm unable to try the flash drive thing, since it needs atleast a 8GB one, and i only have a few 2GB ones
