Here is a tut on re-texturing SA skins This wasnt made by me it was made by my friend
The Tools you will need: imgTool - http://www.gtagarage.com/mods/show.php?id=63
Txdworkshop - http://www.thegtaplace.com/downloads/file.php?id=722
Any painting/editing program like ms Paint, photoshop, Imageready (any others too)
Ped Editor - http://grandtheftauto.filefront.com/file/Pedestrian_Editor;45774
1st. open up txd workshop
2. go into "OPEN IMG." then go into your San Andreas directory, MODELS folder then "gta3(.img)"
3. A list to your left should pop up
4. Now you need to look at the bottom of the list and you should see a search bar (small white box)
5. Type in the search bar the name of the texture (will now be reffered to as .txd) you wish to edit
To find out which .txd/dff is named what either use Ped Editor OR http://www.gtatools.com/index.php?action=articles&site=sapeds[/color]
6. Ok now as you have the .txd clicked on (we are going to use hmydrug for this one) you should see it on the right.
7. go to import then import as PNG (if photoshop) or BMP (as MS paint)
8. we are going to import as BMP.
9. open up MS paint and open the.txd
10 now you need to edit it, so make a marquee around one of the items you wish to edit (pants, shirt, bandanna) then paste it into photoshop OR a better image program than MS paint (if you have one).
TIP: NEVER copy/paste the whole .txd as it will get bugged and also never copy/paste the whole face as that will also get bugged.
11. Now you can edit it how you like.
12. Now you have finished editing paste it all back into ms paint and put the new item, over the old item.
11. Save your work.
12 Now go back into .txd workshop and find the file again.
13. Click the part of the .txd you edited (click the picture(s) on the right)
14. now press IMPORT and import the new .txd over it.
15. press save texture.
16. Go into Ped Editor to see if it looks ok (NOTE: Ped Editor shows things like in a mirror, so left is right and what not.
17. If it is not how it should be, go back and edit it then save it, then check in Ped Ed again.
18 When it is finished you can use it In Game.
