Why don't just enable the chat box for the persons who are loged in in TMS ( I'm not talking about the chat box :tongue: )
So when they want, they can connect with their own name :tongue: ?!
 
That, my dear friend, would require that we need to script are OWN chatbox, or find one that's a plugin for smf (but I doubt there's a good one :/)

So no plugin, just a script that the admin need to accept the name of the guy who want to login in the chat box :)
 
1) Would never be checked, no one would be able to register,
2) I don't see that feature on any of the chatbox site's you've listed (haven't checked, logical assumption).

No, but swearing doesn't really matter. Mods control the spam, and we currently have about none. Anyone who wants to be a mod, just PM me. O:.
 
Why not have the chatbox somewhere else?
For example on themavesite itself instead of on the forum, I think that the chatbox slows the forum down, it needs to load again on every forum page :-\
 
Maybe put the chat as a pop up? I saw this in a few forums, we select "Open Chat In: New Window | Pop-Up | Small Pop-Up" and it doesn't slow down anything.
 
Well, thats too much work. And having a chatbox in another window? No one will go to it. The current chatbox is very convenient And it doesnt slow down the forum at all for me. I like the current one :tongue:
