An ISP can check almost ANYTHING.
Not 100% sure if Google will respect the privacy of their users much.

I doubt Google would forward every illegal thing to the FBI (except CP, I hope), I'm more concerned about personal things like medical stuff and bank accounts.

Probably don't need it, somewhere this year (or early next year) I'll have some pretty fast internet :3 (University grounds has 2 10GBit lines going in and out)

They don't only track your browsing activity, they can track everything that has something to do with the internet.
