Go to the address bar and at the end of the YouTube video URL, add this: &fmt-18

Boom. High-quality. This works for 90% of the YT videos that don't have the high-quality link.
 
yes :wow: i stil have my laptop connected to a 52 inch tv, and trust me there is a difference ^^
 
go test it on a video of family guy or an animated TV show, youll really notice the difference

lol i knew about this &fmt=18 right when it was discovered
 
Yeah. It's not an unfamiliar bug/glitch (more of a do it yourself thing), but thanks for posting it. Doesn't really seem to make a difference for me exept when I use a YT video downloader and I add &fmt=18 into the URL I want to save. :)
 
If you are watching an HD video but the Watch in HD thing isn't there, add &fmt=22, but it ONLY works for videos that are supposed to be in HD, like mine: http://youtube.com/drumsplace

actually that addon type thing (fmt) is only compatable with the videos which are made for HD. If you see a "Watch in HD" at the bottom it will do the same thing as adding fmt. So people can complain :laugh:
 
The &fmt=22 ONLY works on videos that are supposed to be in HD.

Usually the "Watch in HD" links are already there, so there would be no need for &fmt=22.
