Crytek Responds to Crysis 2 Leak News

Crytek has responded to the news that Crysis 2 was leaked earlier this week. Here’s what they have to say about the incident:

Crytek has been alerted that an early incomplete, unfinished build of Crysis 2 has appeared on Torrent sites. Crytek and EA are deeply disappointed by the news. We encourage fans to support the game and the development team by waiting and purchasing the final, polished game on March 22.

Crysis 2 is still in development and promises to be the ultimate action blockbuster as the series’ signature Nanosuit lets you be the weapon as you defend NYC from an alien invasion. Piracy continues to damage the PC packaged goods market and the PC development community.

Maybe because they lose tons of money on it? Maybe because they trust their customers, who then turn around and give out their product that they worked long and hard on for free? Maybe because it must be such a fucking piss-off when shit gets leaked, which leads you to believe you can't trust anyone, not even your own employees..

Its not just PC, judging by the reaction you guys think its only PC that is being hit by piracy. There are millions of pirates on each respective console, almost everyone i talked to on both console were playing pirated games. Its their own fault they cant implement restrictions to prevent leaks. You can make a game with the worlds best graphics, but not a tool that prevents copying certain files?
