One of my videos were removed because of a complaint from WMG.
So I automatically though WMG must be related to Rockstar Games.
I look it up on google, and get: "Warner Music Group".
I'm like WTF, and then it hit be that it must of been because of the background music. I used 2:

1) Tom Cochrane - Life Is A Highway,
2) A song from Nickelback (cant remember what 1).

Shouldn't they be complaining about:
http://www.
and:
http://www.

Instead of picking on little 6k view videos about a GTA water mod? If it was a Rockstar Games complaint, I would be okay with that. But WTF is up with this?

No idea zez, youtube is crappy maintenanced for this, which is a bit logical as they can't monitor all videos :/
Maybe in your description it said : "songs used : 'blablabla' ?" Maybe that's the way they remove videos :s

I only know it sucks, I had videos removed which only had the song for about 15 seconds (the intro only...)

If there WAS a good alternative I would leave youtube, but unfortunately there isn't one :/

You should sue them!!!

I cant sue because what they did was perfectly legal. I'm simply saying it was unfair. Proper credits were given, in the credits And in the video, yet they remove mine and let http://www. slide?

It's not that they cant keep up with what's posted. I'm sure that link is Much more well known then a random video with background music (probably been reported 1,251,397 more times as well).

I hate when YT does this, seriously.
There's a function to revoke what they did though if you provide a good explanation and ensure you don't use the sound on bad purpose. That's how I got area-restrictions for one of my videos (I can't watch one myself, believe or not).

Say that to them in a letter.

Maybe it's just BECAUSE you gave credits your video got removed? Maybe they search for the songs in the description? :/

Usually they direct you to the youtube 'song' lounge when a copyright thing comes up. There you can choose one of the 'crappy' songs and you'll be ok. Did that happen to you?

Umm. This is not illegal. It's legal to post 30 sec from the song :-\

Where did you get that information from?
