Should signatures be disabled?

Reason I'm asking is because on various forums I have noticed the trend of disabling signatures completely.
This makes browsing threads less 'crowded'.
Example of forum without signatures: http://gtaforums.com/topic/675799-which-vehicle-do-you-prefer/

Disadvantage is well.. no signatures.
Personally I don't mind, I think an avatar is enough personalisation.
Let's see how the rest of TMS thinks about this.

I think it's safe to say that most people wouldn't mind losing this feature.
Therefore as of now signatures are disabled.
