About

The Elder Scrolls II and I are the games before the well known games "Oblivion" and "Morrowind", the best RPG games ever made. Bethesda now released them for free.
For running these games you need a DOS OS, or an emulator.

In this tutorial I install Arena and Draggerfall to the Desktop


Small Tutorial

Download the games
http://www.elderscrolls.com/downloads/downloads_games.htm
and DOSBox
http://www.dosbox.com/

Now install Arena, DOSBOX and unzip Daggerfall.


Start DOSBox. A command prompt should appear now.
Z:\>
Now mount your local drive with this command:

mount C C:\ PATH TO THE GAMES

In my example ( I installed them to the desktop) you have to type in:

mount C C:\Users\****(your user name)\Desktop

If everything is done right, a message like this should appear:
Drive C is mounted as local directory xyz

Now switch to C:

C:

At last start the games. Before you need to switch to the path, where the execute is located (A.exe for Arena, and INSTALL.exe for DF):

cd PATH TO THE GAMES

In my example of Arena, it should be:

cd Arena

And now start it:

A.exe

Draggerfall:

cd DFInst~1
cd DFCD
INSTALL.EXE

The Game should start then!

Nice, I used to play Oblivion, would download this too, but meh, I want fancy graphics :T
