Not that i know of, but you could try to cut off the edges of the original, and stretch the picture until you get the correct size?

@ GP, you can make them smaller, your desktop icons, just click and scroll on your desktop with your mouse.

Even when they are smaller they're bigger than the XP ones... Higher resolution too lol

And the Icons really depend on your resolution size... My icons can get as small as this:
