GTA Online General Discussion Thread

Finally fixed my GTA Online crashes while alt-tabbing by UNPLUGGING MY STEERING WHEEL.
All the frustration is finally gone.

Was a fun evening racing with @Mauri Though my understanding of the "best cars" has definitely changed.
Here's a summary:

Best car for each class in GTA Online stunt racing:

Super: Deveste Eight
Sports: Pariah
Muscle: Sabre Turbo Custom
Motorcycles: Shotaro, Hakouchou Drag
Off-Road: BF400

Sounds very expensive
Well 90% of races are Super/Sports, and I believe we both got the Pariah after completing the Doomsday Heist? Or was that before you lost your character? I sold some old cars to buy the Eight, it's pretty damn fast.

Yea I lost it. My current character has only Turismo R. D:

Sorry, missed it yesterday :(
Don't even have a single car purchased yet.
I can do another long session of stunt racing Saturday during the day, we'll go with non-contact and no custom cars. That should be a good way for you guys to rack up enough money to buy the Pariah (sports) and Eight (supers).

Awww shiet I have to attend a birthday on Saturday and we're throwing a party in the evening :/
Might still be able to play.

You don't actually need other people, it's just a little more fun like that.

Just a tip: while doing this ALWAYS BE HOST. Joining random stunt races is a bad idea.
Pause -> Online -> Jobs -> Rockstar Created -> scroll down to the normal Stunt Races -> Play
If it boots you into an existing lobby, exit and go back to freeroam, repeat the previous steps.
You'll get lucky eventually and it'll ask "No active race found, would you like to host one?" That's the message you want to see. Become host and you'll keep hosting unless you quit.

Yooo thanks for the tip, I guess that makes for ez first places!
You'll still need a bit of practice of course.
How to enter tunnels, control your vehicle properly in the air,..
Here's a video from a pro (video is one year old, so the car is no longer the fastest but the technique is still insanely good)

Been playing GTAO a bit more lately, doing some solo grinding while watching Twitch. Progress is super slow though.

What are you doing? Races? Missions?
Gonna get back into GTA:O as soon as I'm moved in

Right now I've been doing CEO cargo missions and keeping MC club business and bunker supplies in check. Also bought Mobile Operations Center but sadly I can't do anything with it right now as all of the missions require two players. I don't have enough money to get a vehicle warehouse for I/E missions.

I'll join you as soon as I have moved my desktop

Well, I played it for a bit this afternoon... The casino is pretty standard. Slotmachines, poker, roulette,... There are some missions involved, but I didn't try them. You can buy a penthouse in the casino, but prices start at 1.5 million. There are a lot of new cars, but all of them are expensive as shit. Fancy cars going up to 2 mil, and the regular cars coming in at 800K.
So it's probably nice for long time players, but it's not really enough to suck me back in to GTA:O.

And does the house always win? Or can you get lucky and make some actualy money in the casino?

I won once with poker, but I didn't fully understand the rules. There is a wheel of fortune in the middle of the casino, that allows you one free spin every day. One of the prizes (very low chance), is a hypercar.

That’s neat. How are the missions? And do you get to rob the casino?

I don't know, I haven't tried them yet. Might give it a shot this weekend.
