I wish my old school did stuff like this, looks really fun indeed.

Well, I did have something similar... I was tasked to create a construction with only paper and glue, which would carry a golf ball over a distance of 60cm, while only standing on a wooden plate of 15x15 cm. Quite an interesting challenge. I managed, but it collapsed on the third run.
