Ok so I've downloaded a few apps onto my computer and I want to put them on my iPod.




But whats downloaded is a rar containing a folder. What can I do to put the apps on my iPod so they actually work? I've tried opening the folder where apps go through Diskaid and draging the downloaded folders in there, but when I launch the apps it shows the start up screen for about 3 seconds then goes back to the homescreen (By homescreen I mean what happens when you press the home button)

I have 2.2.1

Yes it does !!

You have to download the app versions for that version !

( Just try it I'm not sure )

Or just upgrade your ipod !

I did download the versions for 2.2.1, they come as a folder.


The newer version downloads also come in a folder.

There is aparently some way to convert these folders to an IPA file, then you could simply drag it to where all the apps you downloaded from iTunes are and just sync them from there.

AFAIK it only works if it's a .ipa

When I download it from the site it says "Download Type: IPA"
