The Marvel comic universe is massive... The amount of heroes is staggering, and in recent years, Marvel has been pumping out LBGT/colored/religious characters like crazy. Other PC-friendly (read, PR-friendly) heroes are:
- Sam Wilson as Captain America. The black dude from the movies. He's black in the comics as well, and IIRC, they're doing a series with him as Captain America (which he became at the end of Endgame), along with the Winter Soldier.
- Jane Foster, Thor's (ex) girlfriend, takes over the Thor name after Mjolnir cures her of her cancer... somehow. IIRC, the new Thor movie is going to revolve around her, as Thor himself is chilling with the Guardians of the Galaxy.
- The whole fucking Black Panther world is largely untapped. There are stories of the Dora Milaje (the badass black warrior ladies), which would make some cool movies.
- Kate Bishop, the female version of Hawkeye. Nothing more, but she's a young woman, instead of the very male Clint Barton. Her boyfriend is Fuse, a young black guy who can turn into any material he touches.
- America (not Captain America! Just... America), a black Latino woman who can punch wormholes into existence, and can fly. Oh, and she's a lesbian.
- Less likely to appear is Thor's secret sister, Angela. Also a lesbian, who has been hidden from the family since birth. They might throw her in for a future Thor movie, although the "hidden sister" plot is kinda spent after Thor: Ragnarok.
So yeah, there are plenty of minority characters, and I firmly believe that Disney will somehow manage to get them on screen, if only to bank in on that sweet, sweet SJW money.
