Remove admin approval on registration
« on: March 21, 2010, 09:05 »
What's up with the admin approval requirement when you register?
To keep bots away? Doesn't seem to work as clever bots do get through from time to time.

I suggest using the reCAPTCHA thingy - http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=1044
This will keep the bots away (it is innovative, read the site for information) and users won't have to wait until they can log in and enjoy the community.

There isn't an admin approval, only the member activates his account, through email verification.
Though I will install this recaptcha thing ;)

The package was installed successfully. You should now be able to use whatever functionality it adds or changes; or not be able to use functionality it removes.

It does need you to put in your reCAPTCHA site code before it becomes available...
