SA-MP Talk / Re: SA-MP Market - no more
« Last post by TheOnlyDroid on Yesterday at 10:51 PM »
I still regret giving in to this day. Seeing as https://www.multimart.org/ is still online today... Sigh.

Its strange to see a post in regards how Multimart is still online, let alone from yourself MAVE... We may still be online, however we're still under-going a massive transformation from what Multimart Used to be into something a little more "Generally Orientated"... We're keeping all aspects of SA-MP and the trading that goes along with it until SA-MP dies out (That'll happen within the next five years no doubt).

However not without its pitfalls, in my opinion Multimart has turned into a cluster fuck to say the slightest and my goal along with everyone else who's currently running it, well... Is to sort that out and ensure that what is its legacy remains but with its own crown sitting proudly on top; I'm not going to lie, its a massive undertaking going from one sole superpose to branching out into more than one ensuring that it stays alive... Nonetheless, Multimart is alive and kicking and we hope it stays that way with what improvements we intend to make in the coming year.

All the Best,
The guy in-charge of keeping Multimart upto date and improving/implementing new features.

I wasn't trying to insult you or anything, I was just trying to point out that the SA-MP team pretty much forced me to shut down, and that they didn't seem to mind Multi Mart.

Anyway: thanks for dropping by and giving us an update. I wish you the best with the transformation and Multimart in general!

Hey MAVE,

I apologize if my reply may have come off as defensive, that was not my intent.. Purely replied to give an update, hope to see you around at some point, it'd be nice to have a friendly face wandering around just like Seif (Not that we see him much now).. Thanks for your quick response also no offence taken to any degree.

All the best,
Austin "TheOnlyDroid"

One is to make her stop whining, the other is for when the first doesn't work.

And yes, that works in both orders.

Does he also go around and shouts derogative words at Indian people? Or chemically castrate homosexuals?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think there were a lot of Indians in the UK in 1946? I'm sure it was the other way around since Britain colonized India.
Well IIRC, a lot of Indian soldiers were in the UK during WWII
Had no clue.. TIL
A lot of countries were involved in WWII. That's why they called it a "World" War.

Ever hear the story of the "Drei Brasilianischen Helden"?
In early 1943, there was a saying in Brazil: "It's more likely for a snake to smoke a pipe, than for the BEF to go the front and fight." BEF being the Brazilian Expeditionary Force, soldiers to fight abroad.
It meant that nobody believed Brazil was gonna mix into WWII. When they eventually did (in Italy), they nicknamed the forces "Cobras Fumantes" ("Smoking Snakes"), made their shoulder patch an actual smoking snake, and Brazilians starting using "when snakes smoke pipes", instead of "when pigs fly".
In 1944, the BEF's Mountain Infantry Battalion was involved in taking the Italian town of Montese. Three of its soldiers were on foot doing patrols, when they hit large group of German soldiers, who told them to surrender. Instead, they hunkered down, and opened fire. They kept shooting, until they ran out of ammo. When they ran out, they affixed bayonets, and charged at the German troops. Unfortunately, they were shot down and killed.
The German soldiers, however, were so impressed with the sheer size of their massive balls, that they buried the three men with a cross, that had the inscription "Drei Brasilianischen Helden", "Three Brazilian heroes".

Here's a pic, but in really low res.

Swedish metal band Sabaton wrote a song about them, called "Cobras Fumantes". If you like history and heavy metal, definitively check them out, 99% of their songs are about historic events, with a large part of them about WWII.

Dude is fucking persistent. Two flat tires, one of them eventually falling off, and he's still trying to floor it. Damn.
Imagine if you’re the passenger and you didn’t know the car was stolen..
A couple of buddies of mine had that!

(note: I wasn't present in this story)

They were out buying weed from a friend. They get the stuff, and the guy asks them if they want to drive along in his fancy new M3. Of course, they say yes. So he starts tearing through the town, until they see flashing blue lights behind them. Dealer hesitates, but eventually pulls over and plans to sweet talk the cop to not look into the glove box, where a bunch of weed is hidden. Suddenly, they get surrounded by a fuckload of really angry cops, guns drawn and everything. They all get arrested, and brought to the station.
Turns out the car was stolen during an aggressive break-in. Whether the dealer stole the car himself or whether he just fenced it, I don't know, but he did confess to whatever he did.

The two friends got off lucky. The cops believed that they didn't know the car was stolen, and that they had nothing to do with it. And since they only had <5gr of weed on them, they were set free the same evening (without weed, of course).

Right. I thought including the timestamp worked, but aparantly not. Interesting stuff starts at around between the 56 and 57 minute mark.
