So I just started watching Dexter (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0773262/) (two episodes in)
IMDB score was 9/10 so I thought it was worth checking out.
Still have to get "into it" though. Right now I'm not a huge fan yet.

Well, you might all already know it, but if you didn't you know it now: Futurama (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0149460/) has ended. Again.

Last episode was fun to watch, a worthy and definitive ending, although I feel the other character got less attention than they deserved. I would've loved more Bender, or more Zoidberg.

Another series I'm currently watching is Nichijou (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2098308/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1) (anime), which is just random shit happening all the time in a school. The trick is watching it not serious or stoned off your ass, because it makes no sense. At all.

The last time Futurama ended I was disappointed, but now it has ended again, and I have to be honest: I haven't watched it since it's back on air.

That Nichijou stuff sounds fun, but I don't like anime :/

Started downloading The Fringe today, heard a lot of good stuff, will watch it when I'm back from holidays.

Started Criminal Minds, It's pretty good for a cop drama.

I always liked Criminal Minds. Not that I downloaded every season and watched in one go, but I don't change channels when it comes on.
I also enjoyed Castle and The Mentalist, although it can be said for both series that it has gone on for long enough now.

For people interested in a serious police series, check out Midsommer Murders (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0118401/?ref_=sr_1). British cop show, more than 15 seasons long, yet every episode is new and original. Great lead by Neil Dudgeon.

Won't find another series as good as that one soon..

I heard that Season 8 was kind of a let down though (only at S2 atm)

Two and a Half Men is the SHIT while stoned yo.
Is it better or worse post-Charlie Sheen?

I liked it better with Mr. Cokehead. Ashton Kutcher isn't bad, but Sheen just had that extra douchy feel. Most favorite seasons are the ones where Jake is already a bit grown, the shit he does when nearly 16 is hilarious when, as Panki pointed out, stoned off your balls.

Alright, I'll check it out.

Currently downloading CSI Miami seasons 6-10 (1-5 aren't available in HD)
Say what you want about it, I always liked it.

Just finished watching the last Breaking Bad episode... The end of an era.
Perhaps it's good they stopped before it would possibly become boring or too long.

I haven't finished it yet, but I think I'll agree.
How I Met Your Mother has started another season, a season I think should have been season 6. I mean, 9 seasons? Damn son, that's just too many.
Same with That 70's Show, the eighth season was just one too much.

Oh, and for those who don't know it yet, Legend of Korra is back!

For those who don't know what I'm talking about, LoK is the spin-off of Avatar: the Last Airbender. If you've accidentally watched the movie, go scrub your eyes with bleach and watch the series, like you should.
The Last Airbender is a fairly childish series, especially in the beginning. However, it gets heavier and more serious as you advance into the later series. Plus bonus Mark Hamill as evil overlord!

Legend of Korra is a bit more... adult. Sure, it still has some funny moments and comic reliefs almost every 20 seconds, but the plot is more advanced, the scenes are darker, and the ending of the first season? Jeez, not exactly child friendly.

Just go watch it, it's one of the best cartoons I've seen.

Finished watching How I Met Your Mother, god season 9 was a disappointment.

The ending makes... sense if you look at the series as a whole. The guy is (apparently) telling his kids how he met their mother, but keeps whining about Robin. Makes sense that's it's all a ruse to explain why he wants to get back together with her.
Still agree with you though. A lot of hoopla for eventually about 5 minutes of climax, that ends in sadness.

~10 episodes of build-up to the wedding, then it's divorce+death+robin again in ~1 episode? C'mon..

Giving 'Sherlock' a try right now.

I know, the last season is one major anti-climax, but the story makes sort of sense.

And Sherlock? Boy, you are in for a wild ride. Only 9 episodes so far (or 10, I forgot), and now it's waiting for 2016 for new episodes.

Whatever you do, don't start Elementary. It's like a cheaper rip off.

Almost done with catching up on Grimm. It's a surprisingly nice series to watch, even though it can get a bit dull sometimes. Definitely recommend this one.

If you like Spongebob and its randomness and ridiculousness, AT is definitively worth watching.
It's so completely over the top random and ridiculous, but then it sometimes has this dark undertone that makes you think twice. I mean, there's a scene in the first season where he finds his fear embodied by a ghost-like thing living in his bellybutton. And then suddenly a fucking ghost LIMO comes out of there as well, containing 3 other ghosts.
Yeah. (http://imgur.com/RFfsXmF)
I know I'm repeating myself here, but AT is a cartoon that has taken random, given it a cocktail of LSD and XTC, and then shoved it up its butt.

So, me and the GF are making our way through the entire Avatar series. The Last Airbender was a breeze (heh), and is still amazing after 10 years. Korra's series are... disappointing. The series lack a general storyline. The characters are bland and have about as much depth as a puddle, and the bad guys are bad, just because they are. No backstory, no explaination, just "oh, yeah, I'm the bad guy".
There have been some redeeming episodes, which almost make you think it's going to be great again, but then they fuck up and shoehorn some stupid plot in that makes absolutely no sense.

Makes more sense, yeah :P
As far as Avatar goes, it's a surprising series. It's really a series made for kids, but the story and the characters are so well written, that adults can easily enjoy it as well.
Although the romance scenes are a bit... awkward.

Never saw Avatar (guess I'm one of the only people that didn't) Might give it a try someday though.
BTW: moved your reply to this topic :p
Makes more sense, yeah :P
As far as Avatar goes, it's a surprising series. It's really a series made for kids, but the story and the characters are so well written, that adults can easily enjoy it as well.
Although the romance scenes are a bit... awkward.
I guess romance and anime are always awkward.

Not really, a lot of animes do romance pretty well. But the animation in Avatar when there's kissing is just...wrong.
Also, if you ever decide to watch it, the end of the second series (Korra) is just annoying. Physics and logic were just completely ignored.

Made the GF watch Fullmetal Alchemist, and she loved it. It's an awesome series, even if you don't like anime.
However, now we're stuck, since there's nothing to watch :( We still have Grimm, but seeing as that's still in progress and episodes come out once a week, we don't have anything to see in between :(

Anyone have some suggestions?

Already saw Sherlock, and started Breaking Bad once, but never made it further than episode 3. Might give it another try.

^So, in the end, we started watching Lucifer (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt4052886/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1). On the whole, the series feels like it tries to be original and fresh, but then it gives in and succombs to the typical detective series cliches. Tough female detective who solves a murder in which the quirky male protagonist is a person of interest, and then they inevitably team up to solve other murders. It's a bit funny to see the main protagonist (who is literally the Devil) go bananas on some assholes though.
They make a shitload of references and jokes to Lucifer being, yknow, THE DEVIL, but after a while it just becomes a bit... dull (http://i.imgur.com/WTDnnwE.gif).
Still, it's a series that gets better as it goes on. The last 7 episodes (only 13 so far, but season 2 is coming) are pretty good to watch. The acting of the tough female detective gets better, and the relation between the two protagonists improves greatly once they forgo the whole "Lucifer tries to bang the detective" subplot (seriously, there was a sex reference every 4 fucking minutes).

Overall, I'd say watch it, it's pretty funny and Tom Ellis plays a damn good Devil.

Also the little 7 year old kid is the best character, period.

Another bump!

We (me and GF) were stuck in a "what the fuck should we watch" void, which was filled with a crapload of Simpsons. Pretty neat, but it gets old pretty fucking fast.
So, we started watching Stranger Things (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt4574334/?ref_=nv_sr_1). It's being praised with glorious praise, and I have to say, not without reason.
 It's fucking good.
The acting is great (Winona Ryder is doing a fantasic job as a hysterical mom), the cinematography is incredible as well (amazing transactions, and great shots), and the story is fucking tense. It's only 8 episodes long, but it doesn't feel rushed or unfinished. It feels like the writers knew that they had 8 episodes, and they worked with that, to make the story perfect.

It's on my watchlist, right after I finish watching the Fargo series with the gf.
Fargo is pretty damn good so far, and Billy Bob Thornton absolutely nails his role. So does Martin Freeman.

Very.

It's not what I expected/hoped (which would be a continuation of the series, but 10 years later), but it's written by the original writers and directors. It'll probably be just as great as season 1.

Isn't that pretty... NOT light?

Meanwhile, we started Supernatural. It's pretty good. The plotlines for each episode are neat, and there isn't a whole lot of over arcing plot in the way, like in Castle or such series. Not yet, anyway.

Started watching Sons of Anarchy a week ago, and I'm hooked.
You'll really like this if you've always been interested in bike culture (Hell's Angels etc) they even got an ex Hell's Angels member to help with the show.

Quote
Filmed over a 10-year period, Steven Avery, a DNA exoneree who, while in the midst of exposing corruption in local law enforcement, finds himself the prime suspect in a grisly new crime.

Episode one is already extremely jaw-dropping, and then the episode ends with something even bigger.

Just finished watching Californication (after like 5 years, watched the last 3 seasons in a few weeks though)
What a great show, I'm sure it's not for everybody, but I really dug it. Got that whole empty-feeling-after-watching-a-series-finale feeling right now.

If you never tried watching Californication: it's basically about a guy who gets himself in really awkward situations with incredibly hot women and then has to find a way out of his mess.
The music on the show is also fantastic.

Still working my way through Supernatural. Currently finishing up season 7 out of 13.
It's a contradicting series. Some episodes are incredibly cheesy and whiney, and make you go "OH FFS JUST TELL HIM YOU'RE HALLUCINATING", but at other times it's hilariously self deprecating and makes you laugh with just stupid jokes.
I like it.

One of the classic series to watch while doing some mindless things like cleaning or cooking. See also: That 70's Show.

Watched Planet Earth II. Nature documentaries aren't usually my thing, but goddamn if that series didn't have some truly epic shots.

Dude. I also watched Planet Earth 1 and 2. Once you've watched these docus, no documentary ever will come close. Trust me, I've tried. Attenborough's voice is also so godly.

This week I randomly found out that Prison Break was airing again.. (They changed the show's name though: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt4928092/)
Season 5 is currently out up to episode 6, needless to say I binge-watched all of them. Sadly FOX only allowed them to do 9 episodes, so some episodes feel a bit rushed, but nonetheless I really enjoyed the season so far.

New episode of Game of Thrones aired yesterday in the US, and I just finished watching.
Looked pretty promising for the rest of season 7. Hopefully the season where all the big stuff goes down: Khaleeshi reaching King's Landing, white walkers breaching the wall etc. Only storyline that still doesn't really interest me is that of Bran Stark.

I finally did it. I managed to get through all 12 seasons of Supernatural. Final episode was a cliffhanger, so the 13th will be interesting.
Keeping up with the whole paranormal stuff, I'm finishing up Grimm now. Only one season left to watch.

I'm only at S4 for SoA (40mins/episode) and try to watch daily.
